Everest Base Camp and Kalapattar trekking is a well-known trekking route in the Everest Region. This hike takes you to the heart of the Khumbu Himalayas. You can see famous mountains like Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, and many more snowy peaks in the Everest area. The trek to Mt. Everest Base Camp and Kalapattar is the best part of this trip. The EBC trek is known for its proximity to the world’s highest peak and the Khumbu glaciers and Khumbu Icefall, which provide a unique trekking experience in the Nepalese Himalayas. Kalapattar is the third most popular place for trekking in the world.
The optimal seasons for trekking in this region are autumn and spring; however, Soham Adventure offers tailored trekking services to accommodate the preferences and schedules of trekkers and travelers.
The trek to Everest Base Camp starts with a 35-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Soham Adventure guides will take you to Sherpa villages, including Chaurikharka, Phakding, and Namche Bazaar. We have another day to adjust in Namche Bazaar. We can rest and go on optional hikes to Thame or the Everest viewpoint lodge to see the amazing views of Everest. The trail goes up through Tengboche, Pheriche, Lobuche, and Gorakshep until it reaches Mt. Everest Base Camp. The next day, your guide will take you to Kalapattar, a famous place to see things. The trek goes back to Lukla, where you will fly back to Kathmandu. A minimum of two weeks is recommended for the Everest Base Camp and Kalapattar trek.

This is the most important place in the region. It is home to the largest market in the Upper Khumbu region. It’s the ideal place to rest and acclimatize to the high altitude. We walk along the moraines of the Khumbu glacier, which we soon cross on our way to the base camp at the foot of the West Combe. This tented village is the starting point for our ascent of the world’s highest peak. From here, we cross the glacier again and reach Gorakshep.

We climb steadily up to Kala Patthar, a sumptuous belvedere on the ridge of the Pumo Ri. Before our eyes, the imposing Sagarmatha and its neighbors Nuptse and Lhotse rise up in all their splendour. We descend along the glacier to Dughla, then follow the path back to Pheriche.
