Everest Base Camp, Three High Passes Trek – 20 Days

20 Days

The Everest Three High Passes trek is regarded as one of the most challenging treks in Nepal. This trek includes the demanding three passes: Kongma La (5,535m), Cho La (5,420m), and Renjo La (5,420m). It traverses the Gokyo Valley, Gokyo Lake, and the Sherpa villages of Marlung and Thame, allowing trekkers to experience the hidden beauty of the Everest region.

The trek through the Renjo La, Cho La, and Kongma La passes takes you through the remote Bhote Koshi Valley. This hike offers amazing views of mountains that range from 7,000 meters to 8850 meters. This area remains relatively unexplored by many from Western countries. Our goal is to reach the summits of Kalapattar and Gokyo Ri for unparalleled vistas of Mount Everest, as well as views of Cho Oyo, Makalu, Lhotse, and numerous other Himalayan peaks.

This trek is set at a high altitude amidst some of the most stunning mountains on Earth. Consider it not just a trek, but one of the premier mountain adventures you will ever undertake. The Everest trek encompasses three high passes in Nepal, and we have crafted an itinerary that includes all the key attractions while omitting unnecessary days. Should you desire additional treks around Mount Everest, we are happy to adjust the schedule to meet your preferences. Our trekking services include experienced guides, comfortable accommodations, nutritious meals, skilled chefs, and luxurious camping options.

We proceed along the right bank of the Bhote Koshi, passing through many kharka (mountain pastures and hamlets). According to legend, the village of Taranga is the village of the yeti; if we don’t meet him, we can feast on the delicious local potatoes! There is less vegetation and habitation after Marulung. Caravans traveling from Tibet to trade in the Khumbu region cross the valley as it continues towards the Nangpa La pass. Our eyes are delighted by Cho Oyu and numerous other peaks!
