Our visit takes us to Boudhanath, where devotees continuously circle the largest stupa in Nepal, their beads in hand, accompanied by the soft chant of countless mantras that create a profound atmosphere.
Next, we visit Pashupatinath, the most revered Hindu site in the valley, where being cremated along the banks of the Bagmati River is considered the highest aspiration; the ashes are released into the river, ultimately merging with the sacred Ganges.
We conclude our day in the historic city of Bhaktapur, located approximately twelve kilometers from Kathmandu, featuring Durbar Square, home to the grand Nyatapola Temple—one of only two five-roofed temples in the valley—and the vibrant potter’s quarters.
