Manaslu Tsum Valley trekking, near the 8,163-meter Mt. Manaslu, has gained popularity since the region opened to trekkers in 1995 and Tsum in 2008. This area is a geological wonder and a cultural hub, home to the ‘Nup Ri’ people, descendants of 16th-century Tibetan immigrants, who maintain traditions similar to those of Tibet. The stunning mountain views and the challenge of crossing Larke Pass offer an unforgettable trekking experience.
Tsum Valley, relatively untouched, is a key site for Himalayan Buddhist pilgrimage in northern Gorkha, Nepal. Its name reflects its vibrant spirit against the backdrop of the Ganesh Himal and Sringi Himal. The valley is rich in folklore and spirituality, with historic monasteries like Rachen Gompa and Mu Gompa, and features such as mani walls and prayer walls. Local tribes celebrate Buddhist festivals, perform purification rituals, and hang prayer flags, preserving the region’s cultural essence.
This enchanting area attracts trekkers, and at Soham Adventure, we offer two itineraries for this trek, dedicated to providing exceptional mountain experiences at competitive prices.
